    Champions Recognized at the Awards Banquet

    The Hagerstown Speedway held their annual awards banquet this past weekend on Saturday November 5th at 6:30pm. The banquet would open with prayer and dinner & then move into the awards.

    JACKSON, SAGER, LEE, RUTHERFORD, BARE, HULSON, AND ANDERSON CAPTURE THE WIN IN THE 3 ANNUAL ERNIE D’s FALL BASH.

    HAGERSTOWN, MD: As the 2016 racing season comes to an end, the 3rd annual Ernie D’s Fall Bash did not disappoint.  With two, three, even four wide racing in all divisions, the fans attending witnessed another great event of the 2016 season.  A big thank you goes out to McFarland Custom Painting, KRS Graphics, Wrenches and Wreckers, and Iser’s Towing for adding to the event payout.

    D.J Troutman set fast time in Friday’s qualifications for the Late Model division, earning him the pole position for the $4000 to win feature and receiving a $50 Fast Time bonus from Iser Towing.  Outside pole sitter Kenny Pettyjohn set a blistering pace at the start of the 40 lap event as Keith “Action” Jackson started his march forward from his 14th starting spot.  Jackson would take the lead late in the event and held on to take the win ahead of a strong running Marvin Winters.    Read more »

    JACKSON AND MORGAN JR. LEAD LIST OF HAGERSTOWN’S SMALL CAR NATIONAL WINNERS

    HAGERSTOWN, MD: There are weekends to remember in the racing world and this past weekend at Hagerstown Speedway was one that will go into the history books as “Legendary”. With two, three, even four wide racing in all divisions, the fans attending the 10th Annual Small Car Nationals witnessed what could have been the best event of the 2016 season.

    Keith Jackson set fast time in Friday’s qualifications for the Late Model Sportsman division and earned the pole position for the $2000 to win feature. Jackson jumped out to an early lead but along came Rance Garlock with a second turn inside move to steal the lead on the ninth lap. Garlock continued to show the way until the 21st circuit. However, Jackson regained the lead and never looked back. Ralph Morgan Jr. ended in the runner up position ahead of 13th starter Kyle Lee.

    WINTERS’ SECOND SUPER LATE MODEL WIN IS A FALL BASH QUALIFIER

    HAGERSTOWN, MD: Defending Super Late Model champion Marvin Winters dominated the Hagerstown Speedway’s Super Late Model feature on Saturday and took the Black Bandit to victory lane for the second time of the season with 2016 champion Scott Palmer coming home in the runner up spot.  Winters’ win gave him a guaranteed starting position in the Ernie  D’s Fall Bash set for October 14-15.

    Kyle Lee battled with Paul Cursey in the Late Model Sportsman feature but Lee charged on to post his season fourth win and gain a guaranteed starting position in the Small Car Nationals this weekend (September 14-15) Read more »

    BOTH WINNERS AND CHAMPIONS SHINE AT HAGERSTOWN SPEEDWAY

    HAGERSTOWN, MD: Hurricane Hermine potentially was forecast to cause havoc around the area over Labor Day weekend but he stayed to sea and weather wise, racing had one of the most enjoyable nights of the season while Hagerstown Speedway/Dirt Capitol had both new winners and new champions during Championship Night.

    In the Hoosier Tire Super Late Models, Matt Cosner, who has been dominating Bedford with four consecutive wins, posted his first ever triumph at Hagerstown after winning his heat and earning the outside pole for the 25-lap feature. Cosner led all the way with all-time feature winner Gary Stuhler trying his best to unseat Cosner with two laps to go but Stuhler was unable to make the pass and settled for the runner up spot. Stuhler, D. J. Myers, Keith Jackson and defending division champion Marvin Winters battled during the race while fourth starting Scott Palmer dropped to sixth. Read more »

    Satterlee wins the final leg of the Hagerstown/Winchester Shoot-out

    On a beautiful summer night the Hagerstown Speedway would host the 4th and final night of the Hagerstown/Winchester Shoot-out. With a capacity crowd and an outstanding field of cars, we would see Gregg Satterlee is his new #22 Rocket Chassis dominate the Hoosier Tire Super Late Model event claiming $2,500.

    Satterlee would set over all fast time and receive a $100 bonus from Penske Shocks, win is heat race and lead every lap in the 25 lap feature. Read more »
